Just give me a week without rain.
We've had rain this year, record rain and record hurricanes.
The good news it's fueled the morning glories on the porch.

Met an artisian named Jackie in Bronson the other day. He had a mess of primitive furniture on display in the old Bronson gas station parking lot. We gave him measurements and he built the rustic cedar benches you see on the porch. If you need his phone number, just ask for it when you leave your comments (he makes bitchin' rockers as well).

In spite of the rain a little painting progress is underway on Chauteaux Wineaux. The two facing walls have been prepped and primed, the caulking continues and will continue for some time to come. In those endless hours of squeezing seamless lines of caulk, I was thinking about calling it the house of cracks.

The interior is complete, the punch list is punched out, and no piece of furniture cost more than $49.00.

Check out the hand painted saw over the window, the shelves Jackie made for the corner, the wicker chairs from Pier One Outlet and the exemplary original (not retro) recliners from Miss Jean's Homosassa second hand store, after an oxyclean treatment.

That 50's lamp in the corner came out of the neighbor's trash. Found an airless sprayer at a garage sale, repaired it to paint much of the furniture. The airless cost me $45, the missing parts $40, after considering my labor a new sprayer at $150 doesn't sound so bad after all. But, now I can field strip a wagner 1/2 horse diaphram sprayer in under 10 minutes.

Esther's quilts really make these bedrooms what they are, together with Sherrie's hand painted koi shades on the lamps in this one.
